Lois

a

Here's Lois! I love this picture of Lois holding her dolly and her kitty cat. There's a happy dog sitting next to her. This photo came from my friend Charlotte. It was a family member but I've forgotten what year it was taken. My 4 year old granddaughter said "She looks mad!" and yes, she does. It's like "Alright already....take the picture and get it over with!" I think she's adorable! The assemblage was fun to make!  Box is 8 1/2" by 10". Click to enlarge.

My Blog.....

My blog is about my world of mixed media art, my family, my friends and life, in general. Some of my old friends called
me Trix, which, up to now, was somewhat of a secret. Thus the name "Artrix".....What an adventure....laying everything out for the world to see. (As
if they are interested!!....LOL) You probably won't find anything profound. Those words are saved for my private prayer journal/diary. All comments are welcome and encouraged.

Commenting on my life and work as a wanna-be artist.......

Is this the real me?
With a little help from my friend, Clairol.....LOL!

Spring

Here's my 5 x 5 fat book page for an all day workshop with some of the girls from the Northern California Mixed Media group. We meet on the last Sunday of the month. However, for this project, we will meet on Saturday, April 5th and complete a fat book with a "Spring" theme. Everyone brings the components for each member to make a page like theirs. The book will be completed that day for each to take home. We'll "bag lunch" it and work all day. I'm looking forward to it. Should be lots of fun!

Journals

I made these journals recently. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Maybe open an Etsy store? What if no one buys them? Guess I could always take them to the Goodwill store...
I don't have that much confidence in selling my work. We'll see....
